Shaklee Corporation has been selected as an award winner for the Peninsula Conservation Center's 2000 BEN Environmental Award. The award was created to recognize innovative environmental achievement within the Bay Area Business community. Past winners include Stanford University, Sun Microsystems, IBM and Intel.

Shaklee has also been nominated for Environmental Stewardship Award, given each year by the Council on Economic Priorities (CEP). The award honors companies that demonstrate superior leadership in improving the quality of the environment through the implementation of innovative and groundbreaking programs. Last year's winners were: Bristol-Myers Squibb, Denny's, Horizon Organic Holding Corporation, Collins Aikman Floorcoverings and Ricoh Corporation.

Shaklee was also recently nominated by The Center for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Technologies (CEERT), a coalition of U.S. environmental groups and public interest organizations, such as the Union of Concerned Scientists, Environmental Defense Fund, CEP Coalition and the California League of Conservation Voters.

Shaklee has also been nominated for Business Ethics Award, under the category of Environmental Excellence. We were nominated by Joel Makower, Editor of the Green Business News.

Sue Hall was honored as Business Woman of the Year by the National Republican Congressional Committee for her services in founding the Network and supporting the development of this market-based approach to tackling climate change.
